The Expeditions

Guided by the greats

Nature's Original Laboratory

Journey through one of the world's most biologically rich marine environments, a UNESCO Marine Reserve where volcanic islands are still being born from a mantle hotspot beneath the sea. Evolution isn't a theory here; it's the finches, tortoises, and iguanas that first revealed its logic to Darwin.

Explore nature's original laboratory, alive with creatures that exist nowhere else on Earth.

Where Nothing Learned to Run

An archipelago barely 600 miles off Ecuador, caught in a slow tectonic drift that carries its oldest islands beneath the sea while new ones rise to take their place — some are already halfway submerged. Yet it sustains more than 9,000 recorded species of plants and animals, a density of life made possible by cold currents flowing up from Antarctica and colliding with the equator, and by an isolation so complete that evolution had no choice but to improvise.

This is the place that shaped Darwin's thinking. Discover what still makes it a living laboratory today.

Two Routes, One Archipelago

Seven nights or fourteen nights, two distinct ways to see the archipelago. The Rising Earth itinerary traces the archipelago's youngest, most geologically active islands to the west — lava fields, penguins, and the only marine reptile on Earth gathering where the cold currents run deepest. The Ancient Shores itinerary moves east, through calmer coves and wildlife-dense shorelines that have had millions of years longer to settle, built around gentler water and closer landings.

For those with fourteen nights to spend, the two can be sailed as one continuous journey, a single expedition across the full arc of the archipelago's making.

Step Into the Wild

Wet landings on beaches with no dock. Snorkeling alongside a sea turtle. A highland trail that passes a giant tortoise at arm's length. Every excursion moves through the Galápagos National Park — inscribed in 1978 among the very first UNESCO World Heritage sites on Earth — balancing land and water in equal measure, with a naturalist guide beside you translating what you're seeing into why it matters. This is how sixteen guests actually spend a day in the Galápagos.

Prepare for the Unknown

What to pack, when to go, what the crossing involves, and everything else worth knowing before you step aboard — so the only thing left to think about once you're here is what's in front of you.
