How to Get to Galápagos
Two Flights, One Ocean, and Nothing Left to You
The only way into the Galápagos is by air from mainland Ecuador, from Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE). All Anakata voyages embark and disembark in San Cristóbal (SCY), so this is the airport you'll fly into and out of.
Step 1
Reach Ecuador
International flights arrive into Quito or Guayaquil from North America, Europe and across Latin America. We recommend arriving at least one night before your island flight. The connection is too important to leave to a same-day arrival, and a night on the mainland takes the edge off the journey.
Step 2
Fly to San Cristóbal
Guayaquil to San Cristóbal takes about two hours; from Quito, about three, as most routings stop briefly in Guayaquil. For every voyage, we hold a block of seats on Avianca's Saturday flight, timed to your embarkation, and our team can book them for you.
Step 3
Step aboard
Guests on our designated flight are met on arrival by an Anakata representative and transferred directly to Anamara. Your expedition begins that same afternoon.
